CareQuest Institute for Oral Health is hosting a webinar on building teledentistry programs that expand access and increase equity.

Teledentistry is growing in popularity in oral health — it can open doors to access to hard-to-reach populations, help provide critical education on prevention, and triage patients’ needs to increase efficiency.

It can be a useful tool for both providers and patients within urban and rural communities. New research from CareQuest Institute indicates that providers can use teledentistry to provide comprehensive, integrated care that improves patient access and quality at a lower cost.

In this webinar, an expert panel — including both a private practice dentist and a public health dentist — will discuss how to set up different types of teledentistry programs. They’ll explore different team structures, rules and regulations, workflows, and technology, showing how the right setup can create a better care experience for patients and providers.

The panelist will also discuss common pitfalls to avoid and common misconceptions to look beyond when creating a teledentistry program.
