Triodent

The key to the V3 sectional matrix system is the Ni-Ti V3 Ring, which uses optimal separation force to achieve predictably tight contacts. The v-shaped tines straddle the Wave-Wedge and tightly hug the matrix, and the tines' shape prevents the ring from collapsing into large cavities. The V3 Tab-Matrices, with their rolled marginal ridge and the s-shaped vertical contour, recreate the proximal anatomy, so there is less finishing, and the wedge provides an excellent seal on the gingival margin. DENTSPLY Caulk

The Automatrix Retainerless Matrix System is ideal for larger preparations and buccal or lingual extensions. The system is retainerless, offering a clear field of vision, access for quadrant work, and better patient comfort. The torque control of the Automat III tightening device limits overtensioning, requiring less adjustment and easier shaping of contact. The bands are preloaded, saving time and requiring fewer steps. Multiple matrix heights and gauges are available for varied clinical solutions.

The Palodent Sectional Matrix System is the original and one of the most trusted contoured sectional matrix systems with years of clinical support. The BiTine Rings create a gentle tension that gently presses a treatment tooth away from its abutment contact, eliminating the need for forced wedging. The sectional matrices are contoured precisely to recreate the natural morphology between teeth and come in 3 sizes.

Ultradent Products

The Omni-Matrix Sectional was created with the natural structure of the tooth in mind. The matrices and retainer clamp are designed to work together to produce restorations that mimic the natural curvatures of a tooth. The system incorporates 4 distinct matrix bands that are ex-tremely thin and flexible. The matrix bands easily conform to any tooth surface. For more information, call (800) 552-5512.

CLINICIAN'S CHOICE

CONVEXI-T and all-new CONVEXI-T S2 Convex Tofflemire Matrix Bands are precontoured buccal/lingual and occlusal/gingival, and they are available in 2 options. The original CONVEXI-T matrix bands are 0.025 mm thick and soft, allowing them to be further contoured if necessary. The new CONVEXI-T S2 (stainless steel) matrix bands are slightly more rigid at 0.030 mm thick, facilitating easy placement when preparations are tight—even having the ability to push through a partially closed preparation. Both options will provide a tighter, more naturally contoured contact with your Class II restorations. For more information, call (800) 265-3444 or visit clinicianschoice.com.

Directa Dental

The FenderMate flexible wing separates the teeth, pressing the matrix toward the cervical margin, avoiding overhang. Its optimal curvature and preshaped contact accommodate the most conservative Class II preparation; no ring is needed. With the facility to insert it lingually and/or buccally, the dentist can maintain a smaller, more conservative preparation, thus preserving healthy tooth structure and easily restoring a proper contact. Garrison Dental Solutions

The Composi-Tight 3D Sectional Matrix System features the all-new Soft Face 3D-Ring with contoured soft-silicone faces that mold sectional matrix bands to the teeth. The result is an improved anatomical shape without buccal or lingual flash when performing Class II posterior composite restorations. Each 3-D ring tip has a firm core that directs the ring tension interproximally for increased tooth separation and tighter contacts.

Slick Bands prevent bonding agents from sticking to the matrix band by applying a microthin coating to their stainless steel matrix bands. Testing of more than 20 leading bonding agents shows a 92% average reduction in composite sticking to the matrix band. The nonstick coating on Slick Bands makes them easier to insert interproximally on conservative preps, and at 0.0015 in thick, they still ensure a tight contact. High-contrast colors help to visualize preparation margins, and color-coding makes identification and ordering easy.

DENOVO Dental

The Preformed Matrix Bands eliminate the need for retainers—just fit, wedge, and throw them away. The matrix bands save time because they are easy to fit, there's no sterilization, and they're disposable. They also reduce patient stress, and increase your field of view inside the mouth. The stainless steel bands are thin enough to be contoured easily yet strong enough to retain the required form. Kits include 15 different loop sizes to accommodate most molar restoration. The bands come in 2 heights, pedo and adult. For more information, call (800) 854-7949 or visit the Web site denovodental.com.

Cosmedent

These metal contoured bands are a great value and make an easy transition for those dentists who want to perform posterior restorations similar to amalgam. These Tofflemire-retained matrix bands are ultrathin and allow for the development of more consistent contact areas in posterior dentition. Cosmedent's primary teeth matrix bands from the Cosmedent for Kids line are specifically designed for the smaller size of primary teeth. PT matrix bands are ultrathin, making contacts easy to achieve, flexible, resilient, and precontoured. For more information, call (800) 621-6729 or visit cosmedent.com.

Danville Materials

Mega Rings and matrices make perfect, tight contacts even easier. They apply the greatest force for the tightest contacts. The design allows easy "stacking," and converging tines prevent "pop-offs" and offer the wide tines to span the widest preps. They greatly resist distortion, both in their new unique alloy and in their raised-back reengineered design. Contact Matrix matrices resist crumpling since they are made of ultrathin springy stainless steel. For more information, call (800) 827-7940.

Polydentia

Quickmat Deluxe is the easy-to-use sectional matrix system ensuring properly contoured and tight contact points. The complete range of sectional matrices satisfies every requirement in posterior restorations: microthin matrices (0.001 in) that are perfect for narrow interdental spaces, sectional matrices with extension that are available for subgingival fillings, and transparent matrices that grant a complete photopolymerization. Two Quick rings can be superimposed when restoring MOD cavities. Unique delta silicone tubes over the tines prevent gingival trauma.

Maximat Plus is the universal tensioning system for steel and plastic matrices, eliminating the need for conventional retainers in Class II restorations. Thanks to the ergonomic instrument, the matrix can be tightened with just one hand. During treatment, only the little spool remains in the mouth, ensuring better visibility and comfort for dentist and patient. Autoclavable spools are now available, which can be reused and are therefore more economically and ecologically sound. Preloaded disposable spools are also available to save time.

Contact Perfect

Contact Perfect QEP is a direct contact matrix system that is quick, easy, and perfect. A unique, removable window shield allows uncured resin to uniformly expand and create a contoured, direct resin-to-tooth contact while eliminating the need for aggressive tooth separation. The band adapts to Tofflemire-like retainers, eliminating the need for excessive chairside instrumentation. For more information, call (877) 239-2840 or visit contactperfect.com.
