ORANGE, CA and LAS VEGAS, NV - November 19, 2010 - Sybron Dental Specialties, Inc. and Implant Direct International, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a definitive purchase agreement pursuant to which Sybron Dental and Implant Direct will combine their implant and abutment businesses into a single operation to be named Implant Direct Sybron Int’l. The combined business will be led by Dr. Gerald Niznick, president and founder of Implant Direct®.

PERIO PROTECT HONORS DENTIST HYGIENIST WITH ORKOS AWARD
FOR EXCELLENT CASE STUDY ON GUM DISEASE TREATMENT

ST. LOUIS, MO – November 10, 2010 – Dr. Caron Glickman and Barbara Tritz, RDH of Duvall, WA are the recipients of the Orkos Award. The Orkos Award honors dental practitioners in the US and Canada who have demonstrated professional excellence in treatment for gum disease (periodontitis or gingivitis) with a case study report.

SOUTH BEND, IN, November 19, 2010—Heraeus Kulzer, LLC, recently entered into an exclusive importation agreement with its parent company Heraeus Kulzer, GmbH, where it officially and legally acquired the sole rights as the exclusive importer of the Heraeus Kulzer branded dental products into North America.

“Essentially what this means is that we now have the legal backing to combat unauthorized or grey-market materials from entering the country through alternative routes,” explained Chris Holden, President of Heraeus Kulzer, LLC. “Grey-market materials pose a threat to manufacturers, dental professionals and even patients because of the lack of scrutiny on the quality of certain products.”
