CEREC Announces Its Next Anniversary Celebration

The CEREC 27 and a Half Year Anniversary Celebration
Will Take Place August 16 – 18, 2012 at the Venetian® in Las Vegas

Charlotte, NC (December 22, 2011) – Waiting for the big 3-0 just won’t cut it! That’s why Sirona, the company that pioneered digital dentistry more than 26 years ago and the world’s leading producer of dental CAD/CAM systems, is celebrating the 27-and-a-half-year anniversary of its industry-changing CEREC  dental CAD/CAM system with a three-day extravaganza at the Venetian Casino and Resort.

Commenting on the tongue-in-cheek event name, Sirona Dental Systems, LLC President Michael Augins said, “We simply can’t wait another 3-½ years to get our customers together again. We had more than 3,000 attendees at CEREC 25 and their enthusiasm for our products and the success of the program has encouraged us to do it all over again.”

The Madow Brothers Announce Nation-Wide “Love Dentistry, Have Fun, and Prosper” Tour in 2012

Baltimore, MD (December 21, 2011) – Dr. Richard H. Madow and Dr. David M. Madow, better known in the dental industry as “The Madow Brothers,” have officially announced their 2012 “Love Dentistry, Have Fun, and Prosper” seminar schedule.  The seminars will be held in 25 cities throughout the U.S., and additional locations will be added upon popular demand.

Curriculum Innovations Earn UIC College of Dentistry National Award

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry was selected to receive the 2012 William J. Gies Award by the American Dental Education Association for its innovative clinical curriculum.

Over the past nine years the college has implemented a sequence of improvements in clinical education to prepare students to provide oral health care to traditionally underserved patients and to advocate for universal oral health care for all Americans.

"It’s been a long voyage to completely change the way we do clinical education," says Dean Bruce Graham. "I give all the credit to our faculty. They were creative and courageous enough to try new things and believe in what we were trying to do. This award goes to them."
