(DANB) has released a new online professional development course covering human resources for general and specialty dental practices. DANB's Assessment-Based Certificate Program (ABCP): HR Fundamentals is an interactive e-learning course designed for dental office managers, dental assistants, receptionists and hygienists. Dentists with varying degrees of knowledge in human resources of the dental office may also benefit from taking this course.

BURNABY, British Columbia, February 21, 2011—LED Dental Inc. announced today the hiring of Nick Efthimiadis as VP Global Sales and Marketing, effective immediately.  Mr. Efthimiadis joins LED approximately two months after the North American launch of its VELscope Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment system, a cordless, affordably priced instrument that helps dental practices screen patients for oral cancer and other oral disease.

Mr. Efthimiadis brings 15 years of sales and marketing experience, primarily involving dental and medical devices, to LED Dental. Most recently, he served as Senior Product Manager for the market-leading Midwest™ brand at Dentsply International’s Professional Division, where he had full global P&L responsibility. Prior to that, Mr. Efthimiadis was the National Sales Manager for the Prosthetic Division of Dentsply Canada Ltd.  A native of Mississauga, Ontario, he is a 1996 graduate of York University.
