Palm Beach Gardens, FL – (February 21, 2013) – BIOMET 3i announced a new collaboration with Sirona Dental, Inc. that utilizes the BIOMET 3i BellaTek® Encode® Impression System with the CEREC AC with Bluecam and CEREC AC with Omnicam to create intraoral impressions for custom abutments, resulting in simplified aesthetic restorations.

Sirona, the dental technology leader, announced that Jeffrey T. Slovin has become its Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the succession plan previously announced on November 16, 2012. Also as part of that plan, Thomas Jetter, a Director, has become non-executive Chairman. Jost Fischer has retired from the positions of Chairman and CEO.

CHICAGO (Feb. 19, 2013)—New research published in the January/February 2013 issue of General Dentistry, the peer-reviewed clinical journal of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), indicates that the use of a germ-killing mouthrinse in addition to regular toothbrushing can significantly reduce plaque and gingivitis, more so than brushing alone.
