Dentaquest Foundation Awards Grant To Oral Health America

January 21, 2010, Chicago, IL—Oral Health America (OHA) is honored be the recipient of a $145,000 DentaQuest Foundation grant award for the development of OHA’s Wisdom Tooth Project, which seeks to change the lives of older adults who are especially vulnerable to oral disease.  The award supports one of OHA’s five Wisdom Tooth Project strategies: a communications campaign for older adults, caregivers, and medical and dental professionals interested in the oral and overall health of our country’s growing older adult population.

J. Morita announces Cone Beam/3D dose reduction of 30 - 40%

IRVINE , Calif. – (January 25, 2011) – J. Morita, world leader in imaging technology, today announced a major reduction in X-ray dosage of its cone beam (or 3D) X-ray units. Morita’s 3D product lines now come automatically equipped with a Dose Reduction Feature that lowers dosage from 30% to 40% on all three-dimensional fields of view. Additionally, the Dose Reduction Feature does not diminish clarity of image, and in fact, enhances the display of soft tissue.

Dentsply Int’l Keeps Nyu College Of Dentistry In The Vanguard Of Implant Dentistry Research

New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) received a gift from Dentsply International of over $450,000 to promote research in implant dentistry. Dentsply International, the company behind such major dental brand names as Caulk, Cavitron, Delton, Dycal, Jeltrate, Lucitone, Midwest, Nupro, Rinn, and Trubyte, is the largest professional dental products company in the world. Dentsply’s gift will be used to further the mission of NYUCD’s implant program, first dental school in the US to teach implant dentistry to predoctoral students.
