National Museum of Dentistry launches oral health resource for parents of autistic children

BALTIMORE, MD (September 16, 2011)—The National Museum of Dentistry has created a new resource to help parents of children with autism spectrum disorder succeed in teaching good oral healthcare. Healthy Smiles for Autism is a guide that helps parents teach children with autism spectrum disorder how to brush and floss with the help of step-by-step instruction, social stories, and visual sequencing cards that can be used wherever brushing happens. ADHA Celebrates National Dental Hygiene Month this October

Chicago-August 25, 2011—For its 2011 celebration, the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), in collaboration with the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, manufacturer of Orbit® sugarfree gum, has continued its National Dental Hygiene Month (NDHM) partnership with a renewed focus on developing healthy habits for a healthy smile. Along with this focus, the NDHM celebration will highlight community service activities and the day-to-day efforts of dental hygienists nationwide.

Dental Implant Training Center Announces Fall CE Schedule

Fair Lawn, NJ – September 1, 2011 – The Dental Implant Training Center (DITC) , which offers courses and training programs for the dental implant novice to the experienced oral surgeon, has announced its fall 2011 continuing education training schedule.

DITC is located at the epicenter of the New York Metropolitan area in Bergen County, New Jersey. The center’s courses are conducted in a state-of-the-art classroom and designed with both the practitioner and patient in mind to ensure successful implant surgery outcomes.

The courses are one or two days long and include lectures and thorough hands-on training sessions conducted by internationally recognized thought leaders on dental Implantology, periodontology and oral surgery such as Michael Peleg, DMD whose lecture, “Advanced Implant Placement: Block Bone Graft and Open Sinus Lift” is back  by popular demand.
