ADA Foundation Announces New Semi-annual Grant Opportunity

Chicago, April 25, 2014 –The ADA Foundation (ADAF) invites U.S.-based nonprofit organizations that work to improve oral health to apply for a grant through its new Semi-annual Invitational Grant Program. The application deadline is July 31.

The ADAF will consider grant applications from organizations whose projects align with the ADAF’s goal of improving oral health through one of the ADAF’s four mission pillars: Charitable Assistance, Access to Care, Research and Education.

Carestream Dental Introduces Updated, Low-dose CS 9300 and New CS Model

NEW ORLEANS – Carestream Dental today introduced two new products at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session, being held today through Tuesday, April 29, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. These products include an updated version of the CS 9300 multi-modality imaging system that effectively scans patients using a lower radiation dose and new CS Model digital design software that can be used to create orthodontic appliances.

Sirona announces CEREC® software for orthodontics

Bensheim/Salzburg, April 25, 2014. As a technology leader in the dental industry with over 50 years of experience in orthodontics, Sirona was the first to bring digital imaging to the practice with the very first OPG and CEPH X-Ray units. Based on this experience as well over 30 years of success as the market leader in dental CAD/CAM technology, Sirona is now expanding its orthodontic product line with the new CEREC Ortho software for orthodontic scanning, shown as a work in progress at the Annual Session of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), held from April 25 – 29, 2014. The software will be made available to CEREC Omnicam users near the end of the year once it has regulatory clearance in the US and Europe.
