Xlear Supports America’s ToothFairy Affiliate Network to Help At-Risk Children

(Charlotte, July 9, 2013) – Xlear Inc., an industry leader for xylitol-based products, has generously donated over $59,000 in Spry® toothpaste containing xylitol to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy® (NCOHF).  This donation is benefitting America’s ToothFairy Affiliates participating in the NCOHF Oral Health Zone Program® throughout Arizona, Virginia, the Washington, D.C. Metro Area and the San Francisco Bay region.  The America’s ToothFairy Affiliate network consists of community-based nonprofit programs dedicated to providing the best educational, preventive and restorative services for underserved children in need of care.

“Xlear is proud to provide the America’s ToothFairy Affiliate Network with this donation of Spry® toothpaste containing xylitol to help the children and families they serve to maintain good oral health,” stated Blaine Yates, CEO of Xlear, Inc.  “We commend the commitment and dedication of National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy to help ensure vulnerable children have the healthy smiles they deserve.”

“Xlear’s underwriting and product support is vital to prevent the unnecessary suffering associated with tooth decay,” said Fern Ingber, NCOHF President and CEO.  “There are so many who simply cannot afford even the most basic resources necessary for the prevention of dental disease.  This donation of Spry® toothpaste from Xlear will help the America’s ToothFairy Affiliate Network equip those most vulnerable with the tools to fight tooth decay, the #1 chronic childhood disease.”

Providing significant dental benefits as demonstrated in numerous field studies, xylitol is found in many fruits and vegetables, as well as other organic sources, including corn cobs and birch trees. Spry toothpaste contains xylitol and is part of the Spry Dental Defense System®, which includes gums, mints, oral rinse, children’s tooth gel and oral moisturizer.

National Children’s Oral Health Foundation, known as America’s ToothFairy, was formed in 2006 as an aggressive response to eliminate the #1 chronic childhood illness, pediatric dental disease, by providing community programs with comprehensive resources to deliver vital educational, preventive, and treatment services to children most in need.  Supporting the delivery of oral health education and care beginning at the prenatal level, America’s ToothFairy engages caring dental professionals and the general public in programs designed to promote children’s oral health.  Through the generosity of dedicated supporters including Xlear, America’s ToothFairy has reached millions of children through its national non-profit clinical network and volunteer professional and student community service programs.
