Henry Schein will also offer customers who acquire the True Definition Scanner the opportunity to have a full chairside CAD/CAM solution through integration with the E4D Design Center and E4D Mill, developed and produced by D4D Technologies. This solution has already been validated by 3M as a trusted chairside connection. Henry Schein will offer this connection as an upgrade option to users of the 3M system, or offer the products together as an integrated CAD/CAM system. As a stand-alone system without the chairside milling package, files created by the 3M True Definition Scanner may also be sent directly to a dental laboratory of the user's choice.
"The benefits of digital impressions should be accessible for every dental practice," said Mark Farmer, president, 3M ESPE. "Our goal is to offer clinicians an affordable entry point into CAD/CAM dentistry through trusted digital solution providers. We are pleased Henry Schein has been selected to be our first authorized dealer of the 3M True Definition Scanner."
"Henry Schein is committed to working with open integrated systems and being the 'go-to' company for all digital solutions," said Tim Sullivan, president, Henry Schein Dental. "Offering the 3M True Definition Scanner furthers this strategy as we partner with a manufacturer the market trusts and offer an outstanding product. It seamlessly integrates with the E4D Design Center and E4D Mill, making the 3M Scanner a perfect choice for dentists who want an easy entry point into CAD/CAM dentistry with the further option of having a full chairside milling solution."
