Dr. Fazio is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Harvard School of Dental Medicine who also completed clinical Fellowships in periodontology and oral medicine at Harvard. He is currently associate clinical professor of surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He is an attending in oral medicine and periodontology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Fazio also maintains a private practice in Norwalk, Conn, limited to periodontology, implants, and oral medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, and the Pierre Fouchard Society. Dr. Fazio is also an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association. He serves on the editorial board for the journals Inside Dentistry and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. His book The Ultimate Cheat Sheets-The Practical Guide for Dentists is in its seventh edition, and was names by CRA Newsletter as “the best educational product" of 2008, 2009, and 2010. His other current books include Oral Medicine Secrets and Principles and Practice of Oral Medicine. The CRA Newsletter also named Dr. Fazio’s “Antibiotics in Dentistry” DVD the “best education product of 2003.” Dr. Fazio has been named a leader in continuing education by Dentistry Today since 2008. The Continuing Education Review nationally named him as one of “The Three Best Speakers.”
