Ms. Valachi is a physical therapist, dental ergonomic consultant, and CEO of Posturedontics, a company that provides research-based dental ergonomic education and evaluated dental ergonomic products. She is a clinical instructor of ergonomics at Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry in Portland, Ore. Also author of the book Practice Dentistry Pain-Free: Evidence-Based Strategies to Prevent Pain and Extend Your Career, she has provided expertise on dental ergonomics to practicing clinicians and schools, including faculty training at New York University College of Dentistry. Ms. Valachi lectures internationally and was invited to speak at the 2009 International Dental Ergonomics Congress in Krakow, Poland. Ms. Valachi has been widely published in various peer-reviewed dental journals including the JADA, Contemporary Oral Hygiene, Australian Dental Practice, and others. She has produced exercise videos specifically for dental professionals and offers a wealth of dental ergonomic resources, such as books, DVDs, a free newsletter, and dental product reviews on her Web site at posturedontics.com.
