Dr. Zase is a graduate of Boston University, the Dale Carnegie Institute, and the Landmark Education Forum and Curriculum for Living. He received his dental degree from Tufts University, where he then was a clinical instructor in restorative dentistry. He was granted Fellowships in the American College of Dentists, the International Academy for Dento-Facial Esthetics, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy as well as the AGD’s Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition Award for his contributions to dentistry and dental education. He is one of only a dozen dentists in the world to have both a Mastership from the AGD and accreditation in cosmetics from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is the former president of the AACD (2006 to 2007) and serves on their Board of Accreditation Examiners. At the AACD, he was one of the developers of both the University Advisory Council and the Private Education Advisory Council to help spread the teaching of cosmetic dentistry to dental students at all stages of their careers. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has developed numerous techniques and instruments that are currently used in modern cosmetic dentistry. He lectures internationally on cosmetic dentistry and is well published, having served on the editorial or review boards of many dental magazines. Dr. Zase currently practices in Connecticut at the Colchester Dental Group.
